NASHVILLE – March 31, 2017 – Last month, Garth Brooks debuted a never-before-seen video for his hit song “We Shall Be Free,” which was created in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the single, and featured powerful messages of love and inclusion from leaders in entertainment, politics, and sports including Al Gore, Colin Powell, Whoopi Goldberg, John Travolta, Dakota Fanning, Michael J. Fox, Forest Whitaker, Jay Leno, Marlee Matlin, Sean Connery, Placido Domingo, Alex Rodriguez, and more. Today, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the song, Garth launched a brand new video powered by messages of love, support, inclusion, and empathy from fans all around the world. Inspired by his #WeShallBeFree social media campaign, where Garth called upon his fans to submit their own words of love, the powerful video features messages from admirers across every walk of life. Familiar faces include Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Kaley Cuoco, Robin Roberts, Tony Goldwyn, Sharon Stone, Kristi Yamaguchi, the New York Yankees, and Trisha Yearwood, all of whom took to their social media platforms to show their support and urge others to “love one another,” the trademark of Garth’s weekly “Inside Studio G” Facebook Live conversations.

Garth posted the new video today with his own special declaration and note of encouragement – “YOU are LOVED! Let someone else know THEY are loved! Join us #WeShallBeFree love, g”

The song, which spreads messages of hope and acceptance across all races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations, has experienced an overwhelming resurgence of popularity in recent months, driving Garth to revisit the original unseen video, and find ways to incorporate these imperatives into the everyday lives of his passionate fans and friends. The #WeShallBeFree movement begin with a single post and message from Garth and has since received thousands of responses, perpetuating the evergreen values highlighted in the song.
